Location

The villa rental lies along the south-eastern edge of the Chianti on a hill surrounded by cypress trees and olive groves. The small village of Bucine is about 1 mile away. Within a few miles of the villa there are several excellent restaurants. All necessary provisions can be found in Montevarchi.

Property Details

The owner has created a very comfortable living space both inside and out. He used typical building materials outside, modern appliances, and a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings inside always keeping in mind the aim of his guests – to relax in a beautiful setting. The house itself is made of stone and features a large covered loggia on the second story with lovely views of the hills. The grounds of the villa are spacious and afford a stunning view of the surrounding countryside. There is a large, private swimming pool (7m x 14m), a spacious covered loggia for dining al-fresco, and open grassy areas for children to run and play.

The interior is decorated in the Tuscan style with some antique pieces and high-quality furnishings. All of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms, satellite TVs, telephones, high-speed internet connections and air conditioning. The bedroom on the ground floor has been equipped for the disabled. There is a safe box in the villa.

Ground floor: On the ground floor is the entrance through a loggia, large living room with fireplace and dining area, eat-in kitchen with access to the outdoors, living room/studio with games table, 1 WC with washbasin, (entrance from the loggia) 1 double bedroom with bathroom with shower, entrance living room with double sofa-bed, 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower suitable for the disabled.

First floor: On the first floor (with access up a flight of steps from the loggia) is an open living room, a second living/reading room, 2 twin bedrooms with a small living room in a loft and bathroom with shower, 3 double bedrooms with small living rooms in a loft and each with its own bathroom with shower.

The Tower: In the tower of the building is 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower.

There is air conditioning throughout the house, satellite TV, telephone and internet access (please inquire) in all of the rooms. There is also a laundry area with washing machine/dryer. Housekeeping 3 hours per day (except Sunday) is included in the price; bathroom linens are changed twice per week and towels are provided for the swimming pool. It is possible to arrange mountain bike rental at the villa, a local cook to prepare typical Tuscan dinners, and tennis lessons at the club in nearby Montevarchi.
