This is an imaginatively designed luxury villa rental in Tuscany set in one of the most magnificent landscapes in Italy, the Val d’Orcia.

Location

The nearest small town is 5 minutes away by car from the entrance to this estate, and has a grocer, baker, butcher, pecorino cheese factory and gas station. Within 10 minutes of the property entrance you will find wineries, restaurants and specialty shops. Within 30 minutes from the house there are several well known spas and beauty treatment centers. Please be aware that from the entrance to this large estate, the houses are 10-15 minutes by car on dirt roads. The nearest train station is in Chiusi, 25 minutes away by car, where you can catch high speed trains to Rome (1 ½ hours) and Florence (1 hour).

There is a lovely vegetable and flower garden on the terraced grounds with orchards and vines, and 30 acres of private woodland surrounding the house. An extended vine-covered pergola on a stone paved terrace faces south-west for the most spectacular sunsets over the valley and Monte Amiata. An al fresco dining table seats 16. There is also a built in barbecue, and a heated swimming pool (12m x 6m) overlooking the Val d’Orcia. On the terrace is a straw changing room, covered picnic area, second pergola, and small fridge.

The house sleeps 10 in 3 doubles and two twin bedrooms. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is a small but very well-equipped country kitchen with large stone counter top, American fridge and separate freezer, ice maker and dishwasher. The dining room seats 10, and opens onto an outdoor dining area. The living room opens onto the terrace and has a handsome stone fireplace. There is a laundry area with washing machine and tumble dryer, Satellite TV, VCR, DVD, and CD player. Wi-Fi broadband access is available from most rooms in the house.

Included in the Price: Complimentary buffet breakfast prepared every morning, daily room cleaning, bed making, weekly bed and bath linen changing and final cleaning, electricity, firewood supply for fireplaces & barbecue, garden and pool maintenance, Wi-Fi broadband access, hairdryer in each bathroom, cots, cradles, high chairs, wheelchair, can be easily provided. Basic supplies always available without charge: mineral water (sparkling and still), various spices, various English teas, Italian coffee, paper napkins, tissue, toilet paper, soap, candles, and produce from the estate: extra virgin oil, vinegar, crops in season from the vegetable garden and orchard, various jams (plum, fig, apricot, quince), honey.

The house is equipped to comfortably seat all guests plus some occasional visitors. The cook will be able to manage up to 15. Any event involving a larger party must be agreed and explicitly approved by the owners. A locally approved agency is available to provide a vast array of event organization, culinary classes, wine tours, and sports activities at the house, helicopter or balloon rides, and transportation, shipping to the U.S., events for children, childcare and more. Basically, you name it, we’ll arrange it.
